My name is Brittni Mejac, and I have had the privilege of being part of CARES since the doors first opened in 2011. I began my journey as a teacher and transitioned into the Assistant Director role in 2018. Beginning this year, I am honored to step into the role of Director of CARES.
Over the past 15 years, CARES has continued to grow, expanding the number of students we serve while remaining a place where students feel safe, build meaningful relationships, learn, and grow to reach their highest potential. I strongly believe that the connection between home and school is the true foundation for supporting the whole child, and I am committed to continuing the mission and values that make CARES such a special place for our students and families.
My name is Carly Kumazec, and I am beyond excited to serve as the new CARES Assistant Director!
I have been a part of the CARES community since 2012 and have had the privilege of serving in several roles, including Intervention Specialist, ESY Program Director, and most recently, Support and Training Specialist. Each of these experiences has deepened my appreciation for the incredible work we do to support our students and families.
CARES has always held a special place in my heart, and I am grateful for the opportunity to continue being part of this amazing community in a new capacity. I am passionate about supporting our students, partnering with our families, and collaborating with our dedicated teachers and staff to help every student reach their fullest potential.
I look forward to building relationships, working alongside our CARES community, and continuing the meaningful work we do together. I am so excited for this next chapter and all of the wonderful opportunities ahead!
